Description“Sashiko” means “little stabs” and is a traditional Japanese embroidery style which dates back to the edo period. It is a practical and beautiful style perfect for embroidery projects, mending and quilting.The panel is pre-stencilled eliminating the need to mark the fabric before starting to sashiko stitch. All the pre-stencilled markings wash off in tepid water when complete and each panel comes with a stitching guide and tips. The panels are printed on 100% cotton indigo fabric. DO NOT prewash before stitching.Stitch using Sashiko thread, you can use all one colour or add different colours to provide decorative embellishment to your piece.
