Description American Blast System’s High-Cut Ballistic Helmet is a sleek and lightweight NIJ Standard 0106.01 Level IIIA helmet. The High-Cut helmet has a reduced profile shell that has a higher side rim than other common helmets such as the military PASGT helmet which covers the ears. This design is popular with Law Enforcement, Assault, and Special Operation Teams that need the extra clearance for various sighting devices, gunstocks, and headsets that do not typically fit under other competitor helmets. The American Blast High-Cut helmet is lightweight, weighing around 3.2 lbs (or less depending on helmet size) and is rated to stop handgun threats up to a .44 magnum and virtually every shotgun threat.
